My Review:
This is my 7th time to see The Cure and I can honestly say this show is one of the best... I was very pleased they played nearly every song from the upcoming album. The most memorable had to be Underneath The Stars... Robert's voice was simply incredible... the conviction and emotion he emoted drew the huge crowd in. The fans were particularly loud during the popular songs (Just Like Heaven, Push, Inbetween Days, etc.). Porl was very animated with his guitar... doing lots of spinning movements... Simon, always active on stage did all his usual lunging and hopping moves! Jason was great as always...his head popping in and out through the drumset... his hair standing on end! And then we come to Robert... he smiled throughout the night as the fans were giving him lots of love... he danced quite a bit, to which the crowd screamed even more!  Robert talked some in between songs... one of the things I remember was in reference to the new album... I didn't catch every word, but from what I could make out he seems very proud of the upcoming album. I'm glad I was there to experience the new songs live... It was also awesome hearing older songs like To Wish Impossible Things, Jumping Someone Else's Train, Fire In Cairo and Grinding Halt! I was fortunate to have excellent 2nd row center seats... got lots of video and photos... Once I get it all edited, I will be posting them here... I want to thank Robert, Simon, Porl, and Jason.. my sisters Carole and Chris, and the wonderful fans at the show. It was a night to remember and a show I'll never forget.
